Year 2 Teacher
Cover People are currently recruiting for a Year 2 Teacher, for a full-time role in a Primary School, in Manchester to cover a 12-month maternity post. The start date for the role is June 2024 and will continue until June 2025.
The school are open to both Early career Teachers (ECT's) & Fully Qualified Teachers (FQTs). The pay scale for this role is dependent on your current Mscale, pay from M1 - M6.
The Role
A lovely Primary School based in Manchester, M11 are looking for a Year 2 Teacher to cover a 12 month maternity post. The successful Teacher will be required to plan and deliver all lessons, helping to develop an engaging learning for all. The SLT are looking for a teacher who believes in being a facilitator and allowing the children to explore learning in order to discover a deeper understanding of the curriculum. The school have a firm belief in being creative with their Teaching methods and would love to find a teacher who has the same beliefs and methods of teaching.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative and diverse lessons to children of all abilities.
- Direct TA to support children where required
- Report on class performance
- Implement behavioural strategies
- Adhere to school safeguarding policy
- Experience working with children with EAL
The School
Located in Manchester the school is ran by an experienced SLT, they work hard to make sure the school is constantly moving forward and encourage teachers to be able to be true to their style of teaching, preferring those of a creative nature. The school is fortunate to be in an area with low levels of deprivation and the parents are actively involved with the school, with a large percentage involved in PTA, governors and helping out where they can within school.
