Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and comprehensive theatre and drama lessons across appropriate grade levels (Middle/High School), aligned with American Curriculum standards.
Teach diverse topics including acting techniques, improvisation, theatre history, dramatic literature, stagecraft, and directing.
Direct and produce high-quality school performances, including plays, musicals, and school assemblies, managing all aspects of the production process.
Design and implement technical theatre instruction, covering lighting, sound, costumes, and set design.
Foster students' confidence, public speaking skills, and collaborative abilities through practical theatre exercises.
Lead extracurricular drama clubs or activities related to performance or technical theatre.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts, Drama Education, or a related field.
Recognised teaching qualification or official teaching license from the US, Canada, or an equivalent body.
Essential: Proven experience teaching Theatre Arts/Drama within the American Curriculum framework.
Strong background in both performance and technical aspects of theatre.
Excellent ability to manage large groups of students in performance settings and strong organizational skills.
