The school operates the American Curriculum and is committed to fostering creativity, self-expression, and technical skills in all aspects of drama and stage performance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive theatre and drama lessons across appropriate grade levels (Middle/High School), aligned with American Curriculum standards.

  • Teach diverse topics including acting techniques, improvisation, theatre history, dramatic literature, stagecraft, and directing.

  • Direct and produce high-quality school performances, including plays, musicals, and school assemblies, managing all aspects of the production process.

  • Design and implement technical theatre instruction, covering lighting, sound, costumes, and set design.

  • Foster students' confidence, public speaking skills, and collaborative abilities through practical theatre exercises.

  • Lead extracurricular drama clubs or activities related to performance or technical theatre.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts, Drama Education, or a related field.

  • Recognised teaching qualification or official teaching license from the US, Canada, or an equivalent body.

  • Essential: Proven experience teaching Theatre Arts/Drama within the American Curriculum framework.

  • Strong background in both performance and technical aspects of theatre.

  • Excellent ability to manage large groups of students in performance settings and strong organizational skills.
