Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and comprehensive Chemistry lessons across appropriate High School grade levels, including General, Honors, and potentially Advanced Placement (AP) Chemistry, aligned with American Curriculum standards.
Plan and conduct stimulating inquiry-based laboratory experiments, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and best practices in the science lab.
Teach core concepts including chemical reactions, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, organic chemistry, and atomic structure.
Assess student understanding through a variety of methods and provide targeted, constructive feedback.
Maintain excellent classroom management and foster a collaborative and secure learning environment.
Contribute to the Science Department's ongoing curriculum review and resource development.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (Master's preferred) in Chemistry or a closely related Physical Science field.
Recognised teaching qualification or official teaching license from the US, Canada, or an equivalent body.
Essential: Proven, significant experience teaching Chemistry within the American Curriculum framework.
Strong knowledge of practical laboratory techniques and safety procedures.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex chemical concepts for students.
