Job Title: Secondary Humanities Teacher

School Description:
A well-established British International School in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Humanities Teacher to join its dedicated teaching team. The school delivers the British Curriculum and is committed to academic excellence, critical thinking, and the development of globally aware learners. The successful candidate will join a collaborative, supportive, and diverse international school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Humanities lessons (History/Geography) following the British Curriculum.

  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and analytical thinking.

  • Plan and implement creative lessons that support students’ understanding of global and historical concepts.

  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress with clarity and purpose.

  • Provide meaningful feedback to support academic growth.

  • Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

  • Participate in curriculum development, assessment planning, and wider school initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in Humanities or a related field.

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS).

  • Proven experience teaching within the British or IB Curriculum (essential).

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for developing students’ understanding of the world.

  • Previous international experience is an advantage.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: 13,000 QAR – 16,000 QAR (depending on experience).

  • Accommodation: Provided by the school.

  • Benefits: Annual flights and medical allowance.
