Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and high-quality Physics lessons, including GCSE and A-Level content, in line with the British Curriculum.
Teach foundational General Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) at the Key Stage 3 level.
Plan and conduct stimulating practical experiments and demonstrations, ensuring a strong focus on laboratory safety.
Assess, record, and track student attainment and progress, providing timely and effective feedback.
Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and departmental resources.
Participate actively in the school's extracurricular programme, potentially leading a science club or related activity.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Physics or a closely related Science field.
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
Essential: Proven experience teaching Physics and General Science within the British Curriculum.
Strong knowledge of practical laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
Excellent communication and ability to make complex scientific concepts accessible to students.
Enthusiasm for promoting science literacy and curiosity.
