A well-established British International School in Chengdu is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Primary to join its leadership team from August 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a thriving primary section within a reputable international school, offering a high-quality British education in one of China’s most vibrant and culturally rich cities.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and management of the Primary School section.

Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.

Support and mentor teaching staff to maintain a culture of professional growth and collaboration.

Oversee curriculum planning and implementation in line with the British curriculum.

Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes student wellbeing and pastoral care.

Work closely with senior leadership to align whole-school objectives and maintain effective communication across departments.
Requirements:

Substantial leadership experience within a primary setting, ideally in a British curriculum school.

A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).

Proven ability to inspire staff and students while maintaining a strong focus on pastoral care and wellbeing.

Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
Salary & Benefits:

Salary: 60,000 RMB per month (before tax)
