Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and rigorous English Language Arts (ELA) instruction across appropriate grade levels (e.g., Middle or High School), aligned with the American Curriculum standards.

  • Teach a balanced program covering Literature, Composition, Grammar, and Vocabulary, ensuring students develop strong analytical and interpretative skills.

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated lessons that address the diverse learning needs of students.

  • Utilise modern teaching methods, including educational technology and project-based assignments, to enhance student engagement.

  • Assess student work using criterion-referenced grading, providing clear and constructive feedback for growth.

  • Contribute to department planning, curriculum development, and school extracurricular activities, such as debate or literary clubs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, English Education, Literature, or a related field.

  • Recognised teaching qualification or official teaching license from the US, Canada, or an equivalent body.

  • Essential: Proven, demonstrable experience teaching English Language Arts within the American Curriculum framework.

  • Strong ability to inspire a love of reading and develop advanced writing skills in students.

  • Excellent organizational, classroom management, and communication skills.
