The school implements the British Curriculum and is dedicated to equipping students with essential computational thinking, programming, and digital literacy skills necessary for the modern world. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Computer Science across key stages, in line with the British Curriculum (including GCSE and A-Level content, where applicable).
Teach core concepts such as programming (e.g., Python, Java), algorithms, data structures, network fundamentals, and digital citizenship.
Develop and update curriculum materials to reflect best practices and technological advancements.
Assess, record, and report on student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
Encourage student participation in coding clubs, robotics teams, and other computing-related extracurricular activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology effectively across the curriculum.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
Essential: Proven experience teaching Computer Science within the British Curriculum.
Strong knowledge of current programming languages and computational methodologies.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Enthusiasm for inspiring students to pursue STEM fields.
