Cover People are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support in a lower KS2 Year 3 classroom for a full-time role in a Primary School in Stockport from 18th September. The Role A primary school in Stockport is currently looking for a TA to provide support both inside and outside the classroom. The candidate will be expected to use their own initiative and be proactive with their approach whilst supporting the children in there learning and should be able to confidently follow lesson plans to a high quality. The role is for a general Teaching Assistant however some 121 support may be needed throughout the day. Although the Y3 class is overall known for good behaviour it would be beneficial if the applicant had strong behaviour management and experience supporting children with challenging behaviour as this may be useful as the TA may be needed to cover odd days in other classes. The candidate must have: • A minimum 6 months experience working within an Education setting • Experience and knowledge of supporting children in a Primary KS2 setting • Excellent behaviour management skills • Excellent communication skills • Previously supported as a 121 TA & experience with challenging behaviour • Team Teach training is preferred but not essential The School This a one form entry school has achieved “good” for their past three OFSTED inspections. The SLT have created a strong sense of community at the school. They have also shaped a strong sense of inclusion. The school had previously been working hard to become a forest school which it has achieved recently. Leaders have designed an ambitious curriculum for all pupils, including disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND.
