SEMH (social, emotional mental health) Teaching Assistant
Cover People are working in partnership with an outstanding mainstream primary school in Bury, Radcliffe, who are looking to employ an SEMH and Behaviour support assistant for their SEN provision unit. A warm and welcoming The School is a warm and welcoming place for staff and children alike. The school has excellent provision, with a vast amount of resources to help you and the pupils that you’ll be supporting. It is located in M26, and had on-site parking and easily accessible public transport links.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEMH needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Help create a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Work alongside the teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop effective strategies for students.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to help students develop social and emotional skills
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Commitment to promoting an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Previous experience working within a school 6 week+
