Job Description:
A well-established British international school in Gran Canaria, Spain, is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry or Physics to join their team from September 2026. The school offers a vibrant teaching environment and follows the British curriculum, supporting both academic excellence and student wellbeing.
This role will also involve teaching some Mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging Science lessons up to IGCSE and A-Level, with a focus on Chemistry or Physics
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
Teach some Mathematics classes as part of the role
Use data to track student progress and inform teaching strategies
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
A relevant degree in Science (Chemistry or Physics preferred)
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent)
Experience teaching the British curriculum at IGCSE and A-Level
Confidence teaching Maths at lower secondary level
Strong communication and classroom management skills
