Job Description:
A well-established British international school in Gran Canaria, Spain, is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry or Physics to join their team from September 2026. The school offers a vibrant teaching environment and follows the British curriculum, supporting both academic excellence and student wellbeing.

This role will also involve teaching some Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons up to IGCSE and A-Level, with a focus on Chemistry or Physics

  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning

  • Teach some Mathematics classes as part of the role

  • Use data to track student progress and inform teaching strategies

  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in Science (Chemistry or Physics preferred)

  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent)

  • Experience teaching the British curriculum at IGCSE and A-Level

  • Confidence teaching Maths at lower secondary level

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
