Design Technology Teacher - Trafford
Cover People UK are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Design and Technology to join a team within a Secondary school in Tameside. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Design and Technology, ensuring that all students are engaged and inspired to achieve their full potential.
As a DT Teacher you will be expected to:
- To plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in Design and Technology, ensuring that the curriculum is engaging and inspiring for all students- To monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents/carers as required
- To promote high standards of behaviour and discipline in the classroom, creating a positive learning environment for all students
- To contribute to the development and implementation of the department's curriculum and assessment policies
- To participate in departmental and whole-school CPD activities, sharing best practice with colleagues
- To actively promote the school's ethos and values, supporting its vision and aims
Requirments
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent- Experience of teaching Design and Technology at secondary school level
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents/carers
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to share best practice with colleagues
