I am currently looking for Covid Testers who are available from Monday 8th March 2021 for new opportunities for a secondary academy in Salford. The role Cover Supervisor and Covid Testing assistant • Supporting with the administration of the school’s covid testing centre • Supporting self - testing of staff and students • Processing and registering covid test results on the NHS website • Full training provided In addition to supporting the testing centre also covering lessons as a cover supervisor • Taking the lead in the absence of the teacher • Conduct pre-planned lessons • Encourage learning • Managing the behaviour within the classroom • Managing handover back to the teacher The School: 11-16 Catholic Academy Ofsted Outstanding school for the last twelve years Very high expectations of behaviour, teaching, and learning Well-equipped science department and laboratory Easily accessible by car or bus or Metrolink The Benefits Full time immediate start paid work No planning or marking responsibilities No taking work home Ideal for graduates who want paid work in schools Full training for Covid testing provided The role is likely to extend and evolve and may become a permanent requirement As a Cover People Cover Supervisor you will need • 6 weeks experience in an environment working with children or teenagers • Someone who can complete a reference to account for your experience of working with children • A positive can do attitude to respond to busy schools • A degree or a relevant Cover Supervisor or Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification All candidates are subject to standard safeguarding and employment checks including a face to face interview (currently via video call) and DBS checks.
