SEN Teaching Assistant
Cover People are currently recruiting for a TA for a full-time role in a Primary School in Stockport to start ASAP.
The Role
A primary school in Stockport is currently looking for a TA to provide support both inside and outside the classroom. The candidate will be expected to support a child on a 1:1 basis who has recently been issued an IHP, the role is initially for a year but could be extended for a further year. The candidate will be expected to support the child in being as inclusive to mainstream learning as possible.
The candidate must have:
• 6 months experience working with children
• Experience and knowledge of supporting children with SEN
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• DBS on update register
• References for last 2 years work history
• Up to date CV
The School
The school is situated near the centre of Stockport, although they have a large intake of SEN they believe in providing inclusive learning for all. This does mean that the school employs a large number of support staff who all share best practice and support each other where they can. The school has a very strict behaviour policy that is in place to keep all learners safe and has been the backbone of the schools continued success over the last few years.
