Job Title: Theatre Teacher

An established international school in Cairo is seeking a creative and passionate Theatre Teacher to lead its performing arts programme. The school delivers the American Curriculum and places strong emphasis on creativity, self-expression, and technical excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a thriving theatre department and deliver high-quality school productions within a supportive international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Theatre and Drama across Middle and High School in line with American Curriculum standards.
- Deliver engaging lessons covering acting, improvisation, theatre history, dramatic literature, and directing.
- Plan, direct, and produce school performances including plays, musicals, and assemblies.
- Teach technical theatre skills including lighting, sound, costumes, and set design.
- Support students in building confidence, public speaking skills, and teamwork.
- Lead extracurricular drama clubs and performance-related activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts, Drama Education, or a related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification or valid teaching licence (US, Canada, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching Theatre/Drama within the American Curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of both performance and technical theatre.
- Excellent organisational and classroom management skills.
