Sports Coach- Stockport Secondary School Cover People are recruiting a Sports Coach for a larger than average school within the Stockport area. The primary role for the successful applicant will be to assist in sports lessons and lead groups and classes within the mainstream school. Confidence, an ability to engage children and young people and build rapports quickly is a must. This would be a brilliant opportunity for those considering a career as a sports coach or as a PE teacher. The Role The successful Sports Coach will be required to support students in small and large groups. The students are within Year 7 and Year 10 and require help in accessing the National Curriculum. The schools welcomes applications from Teaching Assistants experienced in working with students which challenging behaviour, as well as those experienced with working with students who are working below the National average. The school are developing a varied and exciting curriculum to help students remain engaged. Catch up programmes for learning time lost due to COVID are upcoming and could provide excellent CPD for the relevant Sports Coach.
