Have you recently graduated with a Science Degree? Are you interested in working in secondary schools supporting all 3 science subjects? Cover People UK are seeking aspiring Science Graduates to support your local secondary schools in the science department.

Position: Science Graduate – Education Support
Location: Central Manchester
Type: Full-Time, Temporary and Long-Term Roles Available
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role:
Cover People UK are seeking passionate and motivated Science graduates to support secondary schools across Central Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals keen to work in education, gain valuable classroom experience, and make a real impact on students’ learning. You will be supporting students in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) across a variety of science subjects, working alongside experienced teachers in a dynamic school environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to science teachers in delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Assist with preparing resources and materials for practical experiments and classwork.
  • Support behind the scenes setting up equipment and preparing for lessons.
  • Work with individual students or small groups, offering targeted support to help them achieve their academic potential.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Support students in understanding complex scientific concepts, breaking down topics into manageable learning chunks.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a science-related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or similar).
  • A passion for working with young people and supporting their academic development.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the school environment.
  • Previous experience working with children or in education is beneficial but not essential.
