Why sign up with Worldwide Teaching? Our dedicated consultant James taught at an international school in Thailand for 2 years and lived in South-East Asia for 6 years, and he thoroughly enjoyed his time there. He believes that Thailand is a fantastic place to live and teach, whether it’s your first overseas role (as his was) or if you already have international experience. He knows the country inside out and can advise on the benefits of moving and working there.

Why move to Thailand? Thailand offers stunning islands and beaches and is a world-renowned holiday destination in itself. Delicious Thai cuisine is everywhere, reflecting its rich food culture, and you can experience everything from unbelievably cheap and tasty street food all the way up to rooftop fine-dining restaurants. James genuinely thinks that Thai food is the best in the world! With easy travel within the country and across Southeast Asia, Thailand serves as a travel hub with flights to many destinations worldwide and within the country. Its friendly people and vibrant expat community make settling in easy. The climate is tropical and it’s easy to immerse yourself in Thai culture, from beautiful temples to relaxing massages and a fascinating language.

There are a range of international schools in Thailand, from new and growing start-ups to world-renowned, elite academic establishments. In terms of benefits, what can you expect? Thai international schools will generally offer a good salary with good saving potential, as the cost of living is low compared to the Western world. You’d also receive help with housing, usually in the form of an accommodation allowance, medical insurance, flights to and from the country (either annually or at the start and end of the contract) free or discounted tuition for your children (usually up to a maximum of two) and visa costs covered.

If you are interested and sufficiently qualified and would like more information, please send your CV to me at james@worldwide-teaching.com.
