Learning & Residential Support Worker
Cover People are currently recruiting for a full time, SENTA/Support Worker in an EBD, SMEH all boys provision in Tameside, alongside a residential home on the same site. The role is 5 days a week, full time.
The candidate must be an experienced TA and or Support Worker with experience within education and residential homes. The ideal candidate would be able to work within the school, and go across to the home when needed as they are on site. They are looking for someone who will work on maintaining a positive rapport with the children and who is keen to work. The children are not challenging and are easily managed but they need to have someone working with them who will encourage them to work hard.
The candidate must have:
• 6 months experience working with children
• Experience and knowledge of supporting children with SEN and complex needs
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• DBS on update register
• References for last 2 years work history
• Up to date CV
Children come to this School in order to access their unique curriculum which puts the needs of the individual child first. They aim to provide every child with a rich variety of experiences to stimulate, engage, delight and encourage learning.
