Job description: 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced History teacher to join a prestigious, COBIS accredited, international school in the beautiful city of Shenzhen, China. The ideal candidate for this position should have a passion for History and the ability to communicate effectively and inspire students to reach their full potential. This will be a full-time, permanent position, and we would encourage applications from teachers who have taught abroad previously and / or those who are interested in broadening their horizons and exploring an exciting new opportunity in the Middle East!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective History lessons in line with the British curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and personal development of each student.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to enhance students' understanding of historical events and critical thinking skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide initiatives and events.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in History, Education, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching History at the secondary level within the British curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a multicultural environment and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
