An established international school in Albania is seeking an experienced and driven Head of Department – Mathematics to lead its Maths department. The school delivers the IB Curriculum and is committed to high academic standards, strong student outcomes, and a collaborative learning environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced IB Maths teacher ready to step into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Mathematics Department in line with the IB Curriculum
- Plan, deliver, and oversee high-quality Mathematics teaching and learning
- Support, mentor, and line-manage Maths teaching staff
- Monitor student progress and ensure effective assessment and reporting
- Contribute to curriculum development, departmental planning, and whole-school initiatives
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing learning environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience within the IB Curriculum
- Previous leadership or coordination experience preferred
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to lead curriculum development
