Cover People UK are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor / Unqualified Teacher to support one of our schools in Glossop. Thi is an excellent opportunity for those seeking to enter a career in teaching or those with a ‘can-do attitude’ and excellent communication skills who wish to work in a professional education environment.
To be successful in this role you will need to feel confident in delivering lessons to secondary aged pupils (11 - 16yrs) in the absence of their class teacher. Lesson plans, registers, behavioural management information, support and resources will be provided by the school. No planning or marking required. We are looking for candidates who are available on a full time or part time basis.
Requirements of working as a Cover Supervisor:
- Must have 3 months experience of working with children or young adults in a school, childcare, coaching, youth work, tutoring etc setting
- Show confidence in communicating with pupils aged 11 - 16 years.
- Confident in managing productivity and behaviour within the classroom.
- A degree is desirable but not essential
- Have dedication to class participation and development.
- Hold strong interpersonal skills to communicate with pupils and staff.
