A well-established British international school in Tokyo is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Biology Teacher to join its Science Department from August 2026. The school delivers both the British and IB curricula and is known for its strong academic standards, international ethos, and supportive teaching environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Biology lessons across relevant secondary key stages
- Teach Biology in line with the British and IB curriculum frameworks
- Plan engaging, well-structured lessons that promote critical thinking and scientific inquiry
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and student wellbeing
- Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related science field
- Recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience within the British and/or IB curriculum
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education
- Ability to work effectively in an international school setting
