Behaviour Mentor
Cover People are currently recruiting for an Behaviour Mentor for a full-time role in a Primary School in Middleton to start after the Eater break, April 15th. This will be an on-going role.
The Role
A primary school in Midleton are currently looking for a behaviour Mentor to provide support to their children who are currently awaiting to be relocated into special schools as they are struggling within the mainstream environment. Your role will be to work within thir resource provision. You will be supoporting an SEN Primary Teacher whilst working with a group of 8 children. There will also be 2 other TA's present in the classroom. The school are looking for someone with experience working with ASD & challenging bheavoiur and/or experience dealing with children in crisis situations. The role will be to support a group of 8 children with their learning and social and emotional needs working on a 1-2-1 basis and in small groups within the resource provision.
The candidate must have:
- 6 months experience working with children
- Experience and knowledge of supporting children with SEN
- Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- DBS on update register
- References for last 2 years work history
- Up to date CV

Whilst the children’s behaviour is challenging the school are working hard to support the wellbeing of the children and running family support services to help improve the lives of the families in the local community.
