1:1 Reading Teaching Assistant Cover People are currently recruiting on behalf of a school in Manchester for a 1:1 Reading Teaching Assistant. This is a full time role which will run for the full academic year September 2021- July 2022. The Role A Primary School in South Manchester are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work focus on reading on a 1:1 basis with the children of a designated year group which is yet to be confirmed, this role will also include benchmarking so previous experience of this is required. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent behaviour management. Responsibilities • Use of behaviour management strategies • Experience of working with SEN • Previous experience of Benchmarking • Knowledge of phonics and reading strategies • Knowledge of whole school curriculum The School The school is ran by an experienced SLT that have been working together for nearly a decade. They work hard to make sure the school is constantly moving forward and encourage teachers to be able to be true to their style of teaching, preferring those of a creative nature. The school is fortunate to be in an area with low levels of deprivation and the parents are actively involved with the school, with a large percentage involved in PTA, governors and helping out where they can within school.
