COMPANY BRIEF: The school offers a US-based education for preschoolers to high school students in Myanmar POSITION TITLE: Business Development Director WORKING LOCATION: Yangon REPORT TO: School Director and Board of Directors POSITIONS REPORT TO THIS ONE: Business Manager Admissions and Marketing Manager Maintenance Staff Events Coordinator ICT Technicians Facilities Staff The International School is looking for a senior, experienced executive to lead all business activities for this growing school. The Business Development Director will be in charge of all non-academic related departments and is responsible for collaborating with the School Director to deliver educational and financial results for the school. The ideal candidate is an experienced executive who has worked for at least 10 years in the educational sector, and has a deep understanding of the educational market in Myanmar. RESPONSIBILITIES Be mainly responsible for developing the school business. Develop the school’s annual business plan for approval by the Board and oversee its implementation Assist in identifying the short-term and long-term business goals of the organization. Assume responsibility for delivering top and bottom-line financial targets as specified by the business plan. Deputize as leader of the senior executive team of the school where appropriate Lead and provide recommendations on other strategic initiatives as required by the Board of Directors. Provide direction and management to direct reports to ensure they deliver against business objectives. Coordinate with those responsible for all non-academic aspects, including financial matters, marketing & student recruitment, information technology, facilities, operations and personnel. Review and suggest operational improvements to ensure the schools and organization continuously improve Provide reports to the Board of Directors as requested. Provide direction and management to direct reports to ensure they deliver against business objectives. Provide mentorship and coaching to direct reports to help staff develop professionally. Work on due diligence matters when needed.
